Fish oil for Alzheimer's, Cognitive, & Asthma.. Amazing!

It’s long been known that ApoE4 is the worse allele to have for Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, where this is followed by ApoE3 and ApoE2. The ApoE2 allele is actually protective against these proteinopathies, but the mechanisms of action of ApoEs remain poorly understood.

These ApoE isoforms are all genetic tests anyone can do, but the data from this new study suggests that perhaps simply taking fish oil could render all of that moot, the fish oils helping to prevent Alzheimer’s disease and related.

How ApoE works is poorly understood, but in this latest study, they show that it controls omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA get into the brain. EFAs like EPA and DHA are most abundant in our brain and serve critically important brain functions in brain health.

This was the first study examining level inside the brain.

Eating fish is good, but mercery is a concern for longer living fish. My favorite approach is 1 teaspoon of Carlson’s fish oil daily

Previously I reported on research describing pregnant mothers taking this dosage daily. Believe it or not, it raised the cognitive levels of children born from these mothers 2.5y after the mother’s took it. It also reduced asthma, both with statistical significance.
